Description
This saree highlights the natural, raw finish of Ghicha silk. The main body of the drape is a solid deep maroon, where you can clearly see the organic texture and weave of the silk threads.
The main focus of the design is the handblock printed pallu. It uses a black base covered with detailed beige prints that draw from traditional folk art. The pattern includes peacocks, repeating geometric borders, and a central panel showing a traditional couple. The design looks very much like old tribal scroll paintings. The borders running along the top and bottom of the saree carry this same black and beige block print to frame the maroon body.
The saree includes a 1-meter solid black blouse piece with a visible raw silk weave. This black fabric provides a direct, clean contrast against the maroon body. The combination of the breathable Ghicha silk and the traditional block printing makes it a practical, comfortable choice for workwear, cultural events, or regular use.
