Description
This Pure Madurai Silk Saree comes in a deep blue base colour, with slight colour variation visible across the fabric due to the natural silk weave. The saree body is decorated with small gold buti motifs placed evenly all over. These butis are simple and spaced out, keeping the body clean and not crowded.
The main body remains plain apart from the buti work, allowing the blue silk texture to stand out. The silk weave lines are visible, which is common in Madurai silk and gives it a traditional handwoven feel.
The pallu is in a contrast red colour, richly woven with gold zari work. The pallu shows repeated floral and peacock-style motifs arranged in horizontal panels. Multiple zari borders run across the pallu, creating clear sections and giving it a heavy traditional look compared to the body.
The borders on both sides are also red with gold zari work, featuring traditional floral and paisley-style patterns. These borders frame the saree well and connect the body colour with the pallu design.
